With the rise of online pharmacies and black market websites, it has become easier for individuals to access potentially dangerous substances with just a few clicks of a button. What is Fentanyl?

In some cases, a person’s chest may become very stiff (called “chest wall rigidity” or “wooden chest”).
But inside, there would be as many as 50 individual drug packages each addressed to the person who’d ordered them.
The convenience of internet shopping attracts many young buyers to turn to social media and internet platforms, not only to buy ordinary goods but also medications.
You can’t see, smell or taste fentanyl when it’s mixed with other drugs.
Suppliers do this because mixing drugs with fentanyl makes them cheaper and more addictive.

Fentanyl is a powerful synthetic opioid that is similar to morphine but is 50 to 100 times more potent. It is typically prescribed to treat severe pain, especially in patients who are undergoing surgery or are dealing with chronic pain conditions. However, due to its potency, fentanyl also carries a high risk of addiction and overdose.

Since then, more than 8,500 people have died of drug overdoses, with last year being the deadliest on record. Of course, the safest option is not to use illegal drugs at all or to seek out a drug addiction treatment program if you need help stopping. But if you’re going to use street drugs, testing them for fentanyl first might save your life. However, most recent cases of fentanyl-related harm, overdose, and death in the U.S. are linked to illegally made fentanyl.2 It is sold through illegal drug markets for its heroin-like effect. It is often mixed with heroin and/or cocaine as a combination product—with or without the user’s knowledge—to increase its euphoric effects. Opioids are a class of drugs that alleviate pain and may produce a pleasurable effect on the brain and body.
